TOMORROW

Come to me
Under a bayberry bush
let us heal our history
together;
amongst the essence of December...
that time of change,
that time of remembrance.
Shall we dine by the fires
fortitude, you and I a wall
of light...
Lifting oh so slightly,
not to scorch our vows
no never
not at its brightest,
let it be a conviction of hope
that night will never fall
and we see all...
under that bayberry tree

PASSIVE TO YOUR AGGRESIVE

"Slipping behind subtlety, we speak without confrontation,

it's so sweet...

that smell of passiveness
and
Hypocrisy.

Eyes moving into the distance,

past resistance

That's what I long for.

Cause I know that's what you were born for.

Something just a little less aggressive,

just as long as I am apprehensive.

In what I'm looking for,
a conditional door.

Locked tight, but open for more.

Yeah slipping behind subtlety is sweet...

depending upon what your looking for.

Conditional of course,

on the...
future ....
your .....
looking towards."

I LOVE YOU DADDY

Shattered, and snow littered fields of determination.
Covered in arrogance, convoluted by clouds;
but you give us all sunshine,
and wind to clear the storms.
A constant reminder that..
Inconsistency falls short on a family table,
When the sun radiates.
The seeds grow,
and the yield,
finds itself greater...
Than the crop from years before.

I have known love, and it sits deep within my heart.
I have Known friendship, and it lays softly on my soul.
But I have never known the world to give me both.
Which is an  experience,
so divine.
Without proof I would not believe existed.
Yet the hope for it's invitation
still
keeps
me whole.

"INTIMATE EXCHANGE"

I gently touch the curl of your lip.
with nothing
but my fingertip.
And my lips,
they slide beneath your chin.
While my toes linger
behind your knees,
traveling on the softness
of your skin.

I READ A LOVE POEM

I read a love poem,
and it spoke of pain.

Against fates odds
it did explain.

Of hate and love,
just the same.

It spoke...
It rhymed...

Of love defined

A perilous journey
................................tart
....................................to
...............................sweet

Like cheese
Like wine

Yes,
I read a love poem.

It turned my hips and mind.

Tales of trips
....................Sentiments

lies by pictures,
........................neglected

Hidden by shame
...........................by time.

I read this love poem.

It spoke,
and it said;

She was not forever

Even tides evaporate
giving way...
to salty wastelands,
wide.

Whilst fresh summer green succombs,
to a faded blue autumns day.

I fell in love with the love poem.

Indeed,
Indeed I did.

Because I didn't listen,
to the simplicity...
the simple sanity,
of what it said.

That love poem slathered acrylic
reds
greens
yellows
on my aching head

painting love bird's perched atop

some electric fence

Then dabbled in some
feather's
falling from the flesh.

There should have never been a doubt
in tow, to lead me to deceive

that should I perch atop that fence,
this the end,
would be.

Oh I read that love poem

and that poem was ablaze,
cauterizing human hearts,
with smells of Sunday's best.

for love has fallen from it's
perch, smoldering
upon winter's gray
...............................a firey
neurotic
mess

And I kept on reading that love poem
but it did me no good at all.

It was a one sided romance...

A dying leaf swimming freely
in a brownish foggy pond

Requests for second chances, all
appeals have been denied.

Just another begger
in a
bank

that has no cash to bare

Yes I read a love poem

And to my astonishment...

as if printed words
could screech,

a somber beckoning call,

from
that crinkled page
That silly little poem said

You...
.......knew not
......................Love
At all...
